Experimental design. In the pre-testing phase (two sessions), we conducted a baseline evaluation using Beck’s Depression Inventory (BDI), Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAM-D), and Spielberger’s State-Trait Anxiety Scale (STAI-S and STAI-T). In the experimental phase (10 sessions), the participants were randomly allocated into three groups: A - Active tDCS only; T - Sham tDCS with ICCT; and AT - Active tDCS with ICCT. Finally, we conducted post-testing (two sessions) using the same battery of assessments as in the baseline phase
